The blue morpho butterfly is a favorite inspiration, and here I set out to play with pure shape and see how it might work. The feminine shape in the center was a happy evolution as I developed my drawings. 1/4” thick MDF boards, scroll cut to shape, painted black then airbrushed with interference colors.
